Locked high power batteries

    Does anyone know of a bug in Windows mobile6 which prevents high capacity batteries from being utilised correctly in PDA devices.

     

    It seems that mobile 6 does not detect the increased capacity and the phone turns off thinking it has used all the power in the battery even though there is power left.

     

    Has anyone come across this or a workaround?

      Greetings kevin1212!   Welcome to the Windows Mobile Total Access forums!

       

      I know of no such problem with Windows Mobile.  Can you provide the phone and battery details so we can research this?

        I remember from a long way back that sometimes a device would not recognize that an extended battery was inserted and it maintained the reading from the original batter.  You might have to run the battery down then when it recharges it will reset the power indicator.
