Roadmap for training an HTML/CSS user as a Sharepoint Developer
- Hi,
Im looking for a roadmap for training an HTML/CSS user as a Sharepoint Developer and can't seem to find one. I've come up with this:
Course 2667: Introduction to Programming
Collection 2778: Writing Queries Using Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 Transact-SQL
Course 4994: Introduction to Programming Microsoft .NET Framework Applications with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
MS2500: Introduction to XML and the Microsoft .NET Platform
Course 2541: Core Data Access with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Workshop 2542: Advanced Data Access with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Workshop 2543B: Core Web Application Technologies with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
MS50064 - Advanced SharePoint 2007 Development
Would this do it? Is there anything I've missed or anything there that is redundant?
I've also heard a lot about asp.net. Is that covered by Workshop 2543B and 2544 or is other training required?
I've also come across these:
Workshop 2544: Advanced Web Application Technologies with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
MS2663: Programming with XML in the Microsoft .NET Framework
WCM401 - Developing Publishing Sites with SharePoint Server 2007
ECM401 - Enterprise Content Management with SharePoint Server 2007
SAB301: Building Enterprise Solutions with SharePoint Server 2007
Where do those courses fit in?
Finally, is there any certification planned for Sharepoint?
I would really appreciate some expert input into this!
Thanks
Risposte

- Hello
wondered if this was ever answered as i have a similar query. I was looking for a roadmap for certification for someone coming from a web design diploma background with 2 years end user and design experience of Sharepoint 2007 in an intranet environment, and of WSS for collaboration on documents. Which certifications are best, the Sharepoint Administrator, or Developer courses, or something else altogether and should you also start with a MOSS 2007 server config course? I have no coding knowledge apart from CSS and HTML. ie. know how to access and change the code within the editing modes if required.
