Locked OC 2007 R2 Phone Edition

    Hello

    I have the LG Nortel IP8540 IP phones. I would like to upgrade the software on it to Office Communicator 2007 R2 Phone Edition. Can this be done?? Can you send me the procedure or documentation to achieve this??

        Hi

        I configured the Device Update Service but it still isn't working. The current version installed on the phone is 1.0.522.0(1.23). Is this version too old????. I have been looking at this site http://www.ocspedia.com/Misc/Update_Server_Check_List_R2.htm. Its says depending on the version, a WINS record is needed to locate the Device Update Service. All the other items on the checklist worked fine. Should I enable WINS just for this??? Is there any Microsoft Literature on this procedure.

        Can anyone help me with this??
