    Hello,

I purchased Windows 7 off of Microsoft's Ultimate Steal about a month or so ago.  About a week ago my computer started telling me when I log in that Windows is no longer genuine and that I could be a victim of counterfeit software.  Everything was working fine and Windows did have a successful activation when I purchased and installed it on my computer.  What can I do to resolve the problem.  Here is the diagnostic report for further information:

It looks like you may have installed it without a key, the key you have appears to be a default key.

Check your packaging, cd, case for the cd key, then press the windows key and the pause key simultaneosly, now scroll to the bottom of the page and click on change product key, enter the key from the packaging hit next. If you are not asked to activate then press on the activate now link.

    Hope this helps

    S. Edd is correct.

When installing Vista and Windows 7, the user does not need to enter a Product Key during the install process.  In this event, Windows uses it's own "Keyless Install " key.  That key acts as a Trial key and allows the user to use Windows for 30 day. The user will need to enter a Valid Product key to continue using Windows past that 30 days.

    Thank you,
    Darin MS
