I have a Dell laptop that is from a popular rent to own company, got it over a month ago with windows 7 installed on it.  It is now telling me that my copy is not genuine, I have a message saying it in the bottom right corner and my desktop turned black. I'm not exactly sure why, all of a sudden, its telling me this, any help would be great, thanks.

Take it back to the vendor and have them fix it or replace it.

    Hello tlb31,

You may also try going to http://microsoft.com/genuine and click the Validate Windows button.

-If the Validation result is Non-Genuine, tell us the exact message the site gave you.

-If the Validation result is Genuine, are you still seeing Non-Genuine messaging now?

    Thank you,
