mercoledì 17 febbraio 2010 13:35I had the trouble last night as many others, legit installs of OEM turning non genuine when checked at the new activation site using the browser plug in.
I was able to get it to do an online check later, but it took some time to get it to work. The problem is a script code that is running once non genuine is decided.
My worry is that other people are going to go through trouble since this is not working as it should it seems.
What could have been done different? I have 4 other laptops to go through this and I will not until this is working better.

giovedì 18 febbraio 2010 14:34Can someone just provide an answer as to why legit oem customers are having validation issues? Are the validation servers having some errors at this time. Its the onliencheck that is affecting oem customers.

I agree. Just give us answers please Microsoft. I mean. Loads of us have done the diagnostics and it gives us the genuine message. So why does this site say we are Non-genuine or not load at all. I say it is MS's end -

Endsecure: Your issue is already being worked in the thread that you created for your specific issue.
Please do not hijack the threads created by other people for thier specific issue.
DRFP: Since this thread has already become confused with other people's posts, I'm going to lock it as unproductive. When you are able to provide a Diagnostic Report, please create a new thread and post it there.
Thank you,
