    Bought this laptop off ebay with Windows 7.  No issues for 60 days or so. 

    All was good till a few days ago.

    Any idea what is wrong.

    The information I was able to find on your model suggests it came from the factory with Vista, if you recieved any disks with your computer you can check for a dell upgrade disk (one may have been provided by the manufacturer if the computer is new enough to qualify for the upgrade).

    If your computer does not qualify for seven you may be able to do a factory restoration back to the original Vista install, this depends on wether you have recovery media or a recovery partition, check Dells site for a manual or instructions on performing a factory restoration.

    Also of note is the fact that someone, probably the seller used a blocked VLK for installing microsoft office, it appears you may have been victimized with windows and office both, review Ebay/paypal's procedures for cases like this.

    All of this said, I absolutely hate when someone is victimized and loses money when buying a computer/software.

    One more thing of note, you may want to just follow the links and prompts that MS provides for you to get genuine, maybe they have some affordable options to help you get this fixed AND running windows 7 which is far superior to vista.

    I agree with S. Edd.

    None of the Microsoft software, on that computer, is Genuine.

    As S. Edd suggests, return the laptop to the seller for a full refund and get Ebay and/or Paypal involved if the seller doesn't want to give you your money back.
