Windows not genuine Problem, asking for help AGAIN!
-
domenica 28 febbraio 2010 18:59OK I am asking for help again, and do not mark this question as answered cause u gave me a very general answer that didnt help me at all and was a cop out on your end from having to do any work. I got my windows 7 from the windows 7 housparty and it says its invalid and when i call microsoft and tell them they accuse me of pirating. this is what my diag says. I just want to stop having to activate my windows every 3 days. How can you give people a copy of windows and then have it not be genuine. I mean at my houseparty people kept asking why isnt it genuine and I kept having to explain I dont know microsoft wont help me. How does that make your company look?

lunedì 1 marzo 2010 17:19Hello Split Horizon,
Maybe it would be best to submit a free support request here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52029

lunedì 1 marzo 2010 17:30Hi Split,
the answer you got wasn't so "very general". You were suggested to reactivate by phone because your "Notification Reason: 0xC004F00F" means that Windows considered some system changes (new hardware, new drivers) as so "substantial" that the old activation is no longer valid. If you didn't change anything since your first activation (or if this is your first activation), then something is wrong and you should request support as Dan said.

lunedì 1 marzo 2010 21:56I have never seen the house party packaging and do not know what it looks like. Are you absolutely sure you have genuine media, key and COA.

lunedì 1 marzo 2010 23:08Thanks Ill try that! hopefully it will work

lunedì 1 marzo 2010 23:10Well i reactivate it by phone every 3 days so when i ask for help and you tell me I need to activate it by phone it really doesnt help me when thats what I am already doing. I just think its way to much trouble to have to call microsft every three days just to make my copy of windows work. Thats what they should make people do that are caught with pirated copys.

Hello Split Horizon,
In the other thread, my "Very General" response also stated:
If you need additional assistance in Activating, please see the Install, Upgrade and Activate section of the Windows 7 Answers Forum http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7.
Your Non-Genuine issue is the Result of being unactivated. If you are having problems staying Activated, then the "Install, Upgrade and Activate" section of the Windows 7 Answers Forum would be a better place for your issue.
Thank you,
Darin MS
p.s. As the person that created the thread, you have the power to mark the thread back to Unanswered. This will then put the thread back on my radar. This is the only way I can tell what threads need my attention since there is no way I can check every single answered thread for possible replys.- Contrassegnato come risposta Darin Smith MSOwner martedì 2 marzo 2010 00:32
