I'd like to be able to record the vocals without the chords changing, after the first run. That would add a lot of power to the songsmithing. When you first sing something, it's sort of "blind". After the first run you get an idea of what you want, but if you sing again, it just erases everything and starts over. That's no good.

Also, adding an option to put some reverb on the voice would be excellent.

    Nathal:

    Thanks for the suggestions!

In fact, if you just click "record" when chords have already been assigned, you'll be able to sing right over those chords and they _won't_ change until you move the sliders around.  This is intended to serve exactly the purpose you described: whether you're an amateur or a pro, everyone will sing better the second time around when you have the music to back you up.  Don't click "clean slate", just click "record", and you'll sing right over the chords and they won't change.

Reverb is also a great idea, and something that's relatively easy for us to do.  This is definitely high on our "easy features to add" list if we do another minor revision to Songsmith.

    Thanks!
