How big of a backup is it? As I understand it, the Mac backup is just one disk image. So you'd need one disk with sufficient free space to hold that file, since WHS does not break up a single file onto different drives.

Have you contacted HP for support? It's their add-in, and unfortunately I don't have any Macs that I could test with...

Ken in right - I think you should really contact HP on this one. I have a MacBook Pro and havent had any problems at all backing it up to either the HP EX487 or the EX475 with the update.

I have the same problem - my system is spread across two disks as well but an LX-195.  Not resolved as yet.

If you need to create a single file of 500 GB on your server, your server will need to be able to allocate that single file on a single drive. It's not possible for NTFS by itself to store pieces of a file on multiple file systems, and (because it uses NTFS and has one file system per disk, though those disks are mounted in C:\FS for server access) Windows Home Server is also unable to split a file across multiple drives in the storage pool. Also note that if you wanted to turn duplication on for a share containing such a large file, you would need a second disk with enough space available to hold the entire file.

    Alex's link gives some workarounds...
