    I am planning on taking a crack a building a Vista Sidebar gadget for WHS health.  Can someone give me a clue as to where I can find info indicating the current status of WHS?  Specifically, I want to reflect the Network Health Status, storage health, storage free space, and backup status.  If these were available from the initial WHS Website Home Remote Access page I could pull them off of that.  Getting it from the WHS Remote Access connection is a little more tricky (or impossible?).  Currently, I'm thinking of drilling through via the SMB share if I can find the data.

    I guess you could wait for the SDK to have the tools to do this.

    Yet, you should search for WMI classes. Maybe the WHS team added a WMI class containing WHS status. You could then acces them remotely to get the informations you need.

    We are working on getting the Windows Home Server SDK posted to MSDN in the next week or 2.  We will let people know on the Announcements area of this forum and also have a blog post at http://blogs.technet.com/homeserver when it is available.
