Answered Connect to server using Windows 98

    One of my computers is running with 98SE. I know that you cannot install the software on this machine, but I would like to still access the shared folders.

    When I goto the server a password box appears. I enter my name and password and it refuses.

    Any ideas?

    Try using 'SERVER\username' in the username field.

    I figured out the problem. You need to go through the same log on with Windows 98with user name and password as indicated on WHS, that is if you dont have guest privleges turned on.
