    hi, i'm new at using windows home beta and i installed it in a virtual pc 2007 file, it works really fine for sharing over lan but if i try to nat the virtual ip (it gives an ip from the same range i am on my comps) i can't remote acces it or acces shares
    is it due to virtual pc limit or can i try something
    thx

    Are you talking about configuring networking in the guest itself as Shared Networking rather than binding it to your host's physical adapter? If so, that's not going to work and is due to the way Shared Networking works in VPC. Shared Networking in VPC is used for outgoing connections from the guest and is not intended to support inbound connections.

    i'm not talkin about connection sharing, i just want to know if i can nat the virtual server ip over my router to acces it from internet.
    on lan it acces every pc and even my xbox

    Then yes, there are instructions in the documentation on how to provide remote access to your WHS box from outside of your network.

    In this case a Virtual PC guest will act just the same as a real computer would, yes.

    ok finally found the ports to acces the shared folder over internet from https://mydomain but can't find how to stream videos

    I have just downloaded the WHS and installed Virtual PC 2007, ill let u guys know how it goes :D

    I just downloaded WHS last night..  Setup a Virtual PC 2007. Installed WHS and everything is working great!!

    Pointed my Firewall to the server with the correct ports, and can connect to it from work just great!

     

    YOU have to open 80, 443, and 4125. 

    I tried using Just 80, and no go.. I get the first screen, but cannot login. 

     

    So make sure you redirect ALL of the above Ports!
