    The default style for inserted images is a drop shadow and a small size. The thing is that I use a lot of images in blogging, usually do the optimization myself, and would like there to be no shadows at original sizes. And it's a bit annoying for me to adjust the style settings every time I use an image.

    Is there anyway I could modify and save the default image styles of my own?

    When you insert an image, if you make sure you're on the Picture tab in the Image sidebar, at the bottom of that is a link to set as default. There is a problem if you're using a low resolution monitor and you might not see that at this time, but it is there.
