70-569 vs 70-503 and 70-565

2012年8月3日 12:00Why did 70-569 retire on 31th of July 2012, while 70-503 and 70-565 retire a year later? 70-569 is basically 70-503 + 70-565.

Thank you. Actually, same goes for 70-568, and other upgrade exams (for MCPD: web and MCPD:windows, I don't remember the numbers) although I do not care about them. -

I agree! It is wrong. Same thing happened for our Upgrade exams for SQL 2005 to SQL 2008.
Some folks have replied, "Well, you had plenty of time to upgrade."
My response is, "Really?!? Okay. Well, why did all the developer and SQL Server 2005 Upgrade exams retire early while folks who are certified in Windows 2003 (9 years old!) can still take Upgrade exams until July, 2013?"

Got a reply from Microsoft:
Upgrade exams are for intended for early adopters who hold the credential for a previous version of the same technology. Generally speaking, we keep them in market two or three years after the newer version is released and then retire them. In this case, the upgrade exams were available for more than three years.
