Morning everyone, I obtained the MCSA 2003 in late 2007/early 2008. Ive been working on 2008 servers for a while and so I thought I would like to update to the new one. It seems they have changed some of the certifications around and the requirements and I just needed some direction.
First does the MCSA 2003 ever expire? (I assume it does when they retire 2003) Sometimes I get the question asking what certifications I hold from a client and I always say MCSA 2003, I never really took the time to actually look to see if it expires. No one has ever questioned me just more out of curiosity.
Now to move to 2008, ive done some searching and reading. I found this:
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?id=70-648&locale=en-us
If I have my transcript and take this test will I automatically get my MCSA 2008 or do I need to complete other exams? I just want to make sure im doing the right exams and not accidently taking ones I dont need.
Thanks for your help!

Here is the upgrade path: http://www.certforums.com/forums/windows-server-2003-2008-2012-exams/47433-upgrading-microsoft-certified-solutions-associate-microsoft-certified-solutions-expert-2003-microsoft-certified-professional.html Once you have the certification it's valid forever I believe.Justin | http://patchmypc.net
