Error running DatabaseUpdater for SP1

    質問

  • We had MR (RTM) installed and performing properly on Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 (SP2).  Then began following the "Installing Service Pack 1 for Management Reporter for Microsoft Dynamics ERP" documentation; specifically, the section entitled "Upgrading from a previous release of Management Reporter".  We successfully uninstalled all MR components, then ran the DatabaseUpdater.exe file.  After providing the necessary authentication info for the 'sa' login using SQL Server Authentication we received the following error message:

An unexpected failure occurred: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Build, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.  The database update did not complete successfully.

    Any ideas?  Thanks.

  • Darren,

I am sorry, I don't have an answer for you, but you should probably post your question in a different area.  This is specifically for Beta Customers and Beta code problems.  Not RTM or SP1.

If you are a partner, you can post your question here:

If you are a customer you can do so here:

  • Rob,

I will send you an email.  I am a Gold Certified Partner w/ PartnerSource access, however the partner link you listed is returning a Not Authorized page to me.

    Thanks.

  • Darren,

Just in case, and for others use, I and some of my cooworkers also have had this issue.  It took a while but we had to contact MS support from that Not Authorized page and request access.  There may be things on some of the MS Partner profiles that required updates as well.

    Thanks

    Rob
