Is it possible to upgrade an existing server running WHS V1 PP3 to WHS 2011 RTM? I've seen some threads that lead me to believe it's not possilbe, but I'd like to know for sure. And either way, is there an guide available that explains how to convert?

No, not without a complete reinstall and you must have a 64-bit processor.

Thanks, Philip. As I expected. Pretty sure my home-built WHS machine already has a 64-bit processor, but I'll double-check. Or maybe I'll just wait until someone comes out with an OEM machine running WHS 2011. :-)

Depends where you are - Tranquil PC in the UK produces one which seems to be highly rated.

WHS v1 PP3 is a 32 bit only application. WHS 2011 is a 64 bit only application. There is no upgrade path between the two.
