Sync with laptop and desktop not working.
Sync with laptop and desktop not working.
- I've got a Laptop and a Desktop that I am trying to sync with, using the Desktop as the base. (Using V.4.5, Windows XP, Outlook)
1. I'm getting an Error Window, via 'View Status' when trying to Sync with the Laptop: 'ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop. Support Code: 86000107'
2. I am also not finding the sync settings, I remember using a long while ago, so that I can control which component controls and/or it asks before over-writing either one.
Any assistance will be appreciated !
Thanks,
AHRowe

- If you are running Outlook 2003, under the Help menu, run Detect & Repair. For Outlook 2007, run Office Diagnostics. Re-connec the device when repair is complete.

There is some indication of it being related to syncing tasks (unchecking/checking tasks sync option), >100 contacts/calendar entries, corrupt .pst file in Outlook (make a new .pst file and import data or run scanpst.exe), or just a plain bug that requires a ROM update. I think most ppl just forget about trying to sync a second PC and try to get one to work.
