When is this WWT beta ending and can regular versions be expected?

Beta has been used quite a while.

As we are a free research project, there is no plan for a paid "Release" product. As with many other free internet projects, we may remain "Beta" forever.

The nature of the development means we will continue developing many new experimental features and rather than stabilize on a fixed set of perfectly "bug-free" features for a traditional release we will continue to explore and research new areas.

A "production" release does not imply "paid". It implies "stable".

Which does not conflict with developing features, that's for the non-stable/debug/alpha/beta/... versions.

Many people stay away from beta just because of the beta "oh no bugs".

I know 'perfectly "bug-free"' is something like a fata morgana thing in coding terms. Coding can almost always be improved.

    Thanks for the heads up,
