I have heard some rumors that Microsoft has stopped the interop program or certification process for RCC and for Dual Forking. Is this true?
Are there any official announcements or documentation around this? Links please.

That is correct.  You can see from this link that there remains only one dual forking solution and that it is only for OCS 2007 R1: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/ocs/bb735838.aspx#forking

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for quick reply.

Do you know the reasons behind this decision?
Where have you got this information?

The reason is that RCC doesn't fit into the Microsoft vision of VoIP, which is more of a "work from anywhere" strategy.  For dual forking the user experience is inconsistent - the user has to be aware of how they are making and receiving phone calls and understand the difference in behavior depending on this.  This is not something Microsoft is investing in as they move closer to PBX replacement functionality.
