Failed install NetFramework 3.5 sp1

I've had 3 failed installs of netframework 3.5 sp1 and as soon as I restart my system it's keeping saying that updates are ready for my system can someone please help me and I also feel like there are way to many processes running on my system. I'm a home user and very new to computers but I feel that, let me rephrase this, someone mention to me that it's possible remote software could be installed on my system. Please can someone help and let me know what to do before I take it to technician , very expensive. also the error code is Ox643
