OFF TOPIC -Display changes automatically

I use Vista Ultimate on a Lenovo 3000 N100 Laptop. Just upgraded from XP Home.
I set my display at 1680x1050. Whenever I start my laptop from sleep or hibernate modes, I find that the display changes automatically to 1680x1024. I am then unable to set it back to 1680x1050 till I reboot.
any solution?

The Spooler Sub System App stops working on my laptop (Lenovo 3000 N100). I use Vista.
I just cant get it working.
Any solution?
