PWA 2010 - The 'Publish' process hangs

  We use PWA to add members to a project team routinely.

  What is happening routinely now is that the publish step fails to complete successfully and the process gets stuck in the 'Save Job Queued' step.

  I open the project file in PWA 2010 - I select the Project tab - add team member - Save&Close

  this all works - then i click the task tab - click on publish - and now the process hangs in 'Save Job Queued'

  After a couple of minutes i get a pop-up that says - Operation Still processing - the save job has been queued but is taking longer than expected to process.

  Any clues? It works fine in MS Project 2010 - and may be related somehow to synching with the project site?

  Ideas welcome.
