2011년 12월 8일 목요일 오후 9:36Have you guys not seen the hundreds if not thousands of people still having this problem?"An error has occurred on the server. Please try again later. If the error continues, view Support Information(Useless) for help." There are multiple results in Google for betaAnd it looks like multiple people were having the problem then and are still having the problem:Having the problem with 100k files. Wasn’t a problem with a few CD rips but once I got them all in, selected and shared the WMP has had the CPU pegged for several hours now. This isn’t a typical home server either. I dropped in a Intel Dual Port Gigabit Server NIC and LSI raid card. The CPU is a Core 2 duo, not super-duper fast but I never had problems indexing those same files before. So really this is a software problem. WMP shows all the files in there but at the bottom right it was updating the media library for T:\X folder for over a daay. Even more odd is that when I clicked on the Music portion of the window media player on the server locally I got an error: “The remote media library did not allow the connection. Please contact device manufacturer.” Um I am the device architect. This is the local machine, what connection failed? I can get to the stuff on the share drive that I have mapped over the LAN, why not at the core, on the machine it’self. WMP finally added the files to the library. It took almost a day. Also of interest the when library started to build there was a lot of music beginning to appear but sometime after adding 3 pages of music(As seen on the web interface) it failed. This is not limited to music but any media to include photos, etc.http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/is/whsvailbeta/thread/07dfc7f5-c163-43c1-8af1-8c9fd45da723http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/is/whsvailbeta/thread/40d8b26e-7854-4973-bca5-4e4563c1ec38http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/whsvailbeta/thread/566349bb-89e0-46aa-bcf5-492c6ca0227fhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/whsvailbeta/thread/21bb48ab-632b-4904-9ee0-980e03890ecfAnd that was for the beta. Currently there are hundreds of people still having the problem:http://gcoupe.wordpress.com/2011/06/04/the-media-library-in-windows-home-server-2011revisited/It seems that that not a thing was done to fix this, if there was something done to fix it what? Is there a fix action?

Sorry about the formatting for some reason it would not take the spacing.

2011년 12월 14일 수요일 오전 2:34Solution Found! Format the hard drive, install Redhat Enterprise Linux or Oracle Solaris 11, install Samba, and set up a VPN on my FreeBSD firewall and to heck with WHS. Connector software, buggy, check! DLNA support, buggy, check! Homegroup, buggy, check! File sharing when the connector software is actually able to be installed, buggy, check! Just about everything about windows home server is bugg, and most of it has to do with the part that is not the server. It's the junky software that's sitting on top of it. It's like polishing a gem with a turd. I am extremely unhappy with this solution.

2012년 4월 13일 금요일 오후 4:54Do we have a solution to this problem? I do not wish to re-install WHS2011

2012년 4월 14일 토요일 오전 9:41I'm not aware of any solution as yet. Certainly Microsoft has not released any fix for this issue.

2012년 4월 17일 화요일 오후 11:58No surprise Microsoft has not figured out a solution, since this is thier red-headed step child OS. Just out of curiosity exaxtly how much data was on your home server when the media end of the library stopped working correctly? I'm also thinking this could be a db issue within the Media Server part with Microsoft's built db tool. There may be a limit to how much it is allowed to process.
