    Is PP3 compatible with both WHS 2003 and WHS 2008?

      Power Pack 3 is intended for installation on the only version of Windows Home Server available, which is version 1. There is no Windows Home Server 2008 (or 2003, for that matter).
      I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

        I thought the underlying server technology for WHS was WS 2003 initially but that was changing at some point to WS 2008.  As long as PP3 works on any machine running WHS, whether 32 bit or 64 bit, I am pleased.  I am using an old box for WHS and what to update my clients to Win 7 when it becomes available.

          Correct, it is Server 2003. There is no 2008 version.
          The assumption is that a new WHS v2 would be built on top of Win7/Server2008 code base. But that's probably a long way out

            Also for clarification, there is no WHS 64-bit (only 32-bit).

                 Someone needs to tell Microsoft that it is not 2008, as the Action Pack Download states "Windows Home Server 2008 for Partners". ;)
              I am sure you are correct however in stating that there is one version and it is based on Server 2003. 
              Thanks for all of your good knowledge.  I just thought I'd put that out there for other MSFT partners that might be wondering...

                You are not looking at what the statement was: Windows Home Server 2008 NOT Windows Server 2008.  There was no WHS 2003 (Windows Home Server != Windows Server).  Evidently Microsoft has started calling version 1 of WHS "Windows Home Server 2008" that is based on Windows Server 2003.  Note the insertion of the word HOME.  Windows Home Server is only available in a 32-bit version.  There are connectors for client PCs that are both 32-bit and 64-bit.

                Windows Server xxxxx (version 2) is under development, rumored to be based on Windows Server 2008/Windows 7 and rumored to only be 64 bit.
