2008년 6월 14일 토요일 오전 7:231. I suggest that an option be added to the tray icon for WHS that we can shut down from that tray, instead of having to go through the present shut-down option of having to log in throiugh the console.
2. I suggest that once shut down has taken place, perhaps the message from the console should not involve an error-like message making it seem as though something has gone wrong.

- Anyone running the tray icon (i.e. every pc on your home network, for most homes) will be able to shut the server down.
- There is a suggestion to this effect on Connect already. Please search, verify and vote.
Also, Microsoft has asked that all suggestions be made on Connect, where they can be managed more easily. -

At present that is not true. Are you saying this will be true in the future? In order for me to shut down at present, I have to go into the console.

Are suggestions to be made here in the suggestions forum or on Connect?
I had never heard of Connect until you just mentioned it. In going there I do not seem to be able to conveniently to search, verify, vote, so I will consider doing so another time. Apparently I have to join. I may do so, but I will first figure out if I want to, given the somewhat invasive terms:
"If you click I Agree, you are accepting the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement. You are also agreeing that your activities on Microsoft Connect may be tracked and associated with your personal information, in order to provide you with personalized content and opportunities to participate in beta programs." -

On your first suggestion:
What Ken meant was that, if it worked the way that you're suggesting, then every user on your LAN would be able to shut down the server, via the tray icon, without first logging in to the server - probably not a good idea. And, no, there aren't any plans to make that possible.
Explanation on what Ken said for the second:
The Suggestions forum here (AFAIK) predates the WHS Connect site. Oncew that was up, MS asked that bug reports and feature requests / suggestions be filed there, where they can be easily tracked, as well as voted on by the community. -
