One of the features I really like in WHS is the ability to do a complete restore one of my computers. I keep a backup copy of a computer from the time it was newly built so that I can go back to this 'clean slate' if needed. However I could lose this clean backup if WHS ever goes down for some reason.

I would therefor like to be able to duplicate those backups that I have set to be kept. Maybe they could stay in a special shares folder?

If you keep the backup files on a share on your WHS, then attached an external drive to the server and backing up to that would do this for you.

    Hi Andy,
one method would be to copy the entire backup database to another drive.
This is not convenient and may also consume some space for unnecessary backups, since you cannot distinguish between different computers.
Otherwise you also could register at Connect, as outlined here (only the lines with the links for registering are interesting in this case for you) and file a suggestion for a feature, which allows to export parts of the client backups.

    Best greetings from Germany
