HPC GUI Updates

  I have users that connect to the Head node via the client tools and managing jobs via the GUI management.  We seem to have a lot of problems with the GUI behaving very inconsistently.  Here are some brief examples.  I am trying to gather more specific information, but wanted to get something out there.
  
  - When jobs are running, the task information for the jobs update very inconsistently.  For example, one run, the task will update instantly, while sometimes it may take up to 20 seconds to update information.  (I am speaking of the information within the running job itself.)  Is there a way to control how fast information gets updated in the Gui?
  
  - The gui itself just crashes with no real reason in the logs
  
  The HPC nodes are using jumbo frames on one single network.  Some computers are accessing the management tools on the same network or are routed from other subnets that are not using Jumbo frames.
  
  BTW the client tools are on multiple operating systems (Windows XP x64 and Server Enterprise x64)
  
  Another point of note is that the same user is logged into the client tools from multiple machines.  Would this have any negative affects?
  
  Any info would be appreciated
