    Hi All,

I wonder if there are other materials I need to use to prepare for the 70-293 exam apart from the Self-paced Microsoft training kit; I failed my first attempt. If there are reliable dumps too, can someone help in pointing me in the right direction please.

Without going off on too much of a rant here I feel strongly I need to make a point about brain-dumping. Brain-Dumps are both unethical and in violation the MCP Exam Policies. Using materials as such can and will result in the immediate reversal of your status as a Microsoft Certified Professional and all Certifications will also be removed. I am all for helping you to become an MCP, but I cannot condone the use of corrupt practices.

As for the request for material, I like the MS-Press books, however if you seek a non-Microsoft published book I would suggest either Syngress or Sybex Publishing as I've read both of their books for this exam and like them both pretty well.

    Syngress Book:

    Sybex Book:
    http://www.amazon.com/MCSE-Windows-Infrastructure-Planning-Maintenance/dp/0782144500/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1209562147&sr=8-2

    MS Press Book:
    http://www.amazon.com/MCSE-Self-Paced-Training-Exam-70-293/dp/0735622876/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1209562096&sr=8-1

On a side note, remember the one nice thing above the MS Press book itself (If you choose that option) it comes with a 15% OFF Discount Voucher for the exam when you're ready to take it. I also like to recommend Self-Test Software, ExamForce.net and Measure-Up as additional material to help you in your quest for this and other Certifications.

Good luck on your exam, but please don't cheat. It devalues the past present and future of all Certifications and invalidates the hard work and studying of others who have legitimately obtained them.

    Hi rev,

Thanks a lot for the advise and the links too. I suspected that using dumps might not be allowed, now you have confirmed it to me. That was why i bought the MS Press book in the first place. I'll take a look at the materials you have suggested. MS Press didn't have practice sessions on simulations though.

    Once again, thank you.

I also had alot of issues with the 70-293 so i picked up the examcram examprep book and have found it to be very usefull thus far. The Microsoft 70-293 book was not that great in my opinion. Good luck on your test.

It's good to have more than one training kit/study material. Be careful however: the devil lies in the details. Glossy overviews and simply knowing the definition of a service will produce another failing result. Roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty with the technology... There is a ton of stuff to work thru. Don't rush it. Absorb the material.
