Sending Emails after Case created.

I have created the correct workflow rule, I have activated the workflow rule.
The rule is set to email, The Logical User (Owner), WHEN the Parameters of a Key which is NotifyOwner is set to YES.
I create a case, i ensure NotifyOwner is set to YES.
AND NOTHING.
Please Help its driving me insane.

Hi,
I hope you have created workflow on Create event. You dont see any email regarding case to the owner of the case. Checkout the event log for any error message. Try changing the action, instead of email make it task. Is that working?

Thank you for your response.
i had it set to Manual, i have since changed it and now i can see the email being pushed out in the workflow monitor.
But i am still not receiving it.
Is there a way of checking what mail settings i have in CRM?
