Hi,
I have a windows 7 ultimate just purchased which is genuine and activated. Works as a charm.
The problem I'm very concerned if the key gets stolen or leaked or something similar. I already had this issue with my Vista and thats the reason why I purchased windows 7.
Is there any replacement/ guarantee from MS if the key is stolen/lost. I dont mind if they diactivate it as long as they give me a new one should that happen.

If you bought the key through MS store then it may be possible depending on the circumstances, if you bought a key from any other source probably not. This is assuming you bought just the key, if you bought a retail package then remember to save disks, packaging, key, everything. What I do is open the package, write down the key, close and tape the package and never touch it again. I make a copy of the disk and save an ISO.- Als antwoord gemarkeerd door Darin Smith MSOwner donderdag 22 april 2010 20:35
