When I try to open up Windows OneCare the error message says'the procedure entry point GetProcessId could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

I've downloaded the KERNEL.dll file but it still won't open?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

What operating system are you running? Did OneCare ever work or is this the installer? That error typically means that you are attempting to install on an unsupported operating system.

I have the same problem when trying to run any .exe application from my IronKey, I have windows 2000 SP4, I don't think it's the OS becasue I ran the application on a similar PC and no problems reported.... any clue?

The error you are responding to is specific to Windows Live OneCare in this instance, when trying to install to an unsupported operating system. Your case would be off topic for this forum and should be taken to support for your IronKey device/program or you may want to try the Microsoft Public newsgroups here: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx

I am using XP Sp1.It seems it is because of the installer.as this often occurs, when I attempt to install newer program, even XP Sp2.Now that  XP Sp2 has been stopped,I tried to install Sp3,or Internet explorer 8.0 or, so to say, anything I want to download; it does not allow. Can you suggest me how to get rid of it ? If I delete, this programme,I shall not be able to download anyother programme.I shall request to send the reply in my mail please.aramoni@ rediffmail.com

You are replying to a thread that is quite old. And, since you are using XP SP1, you cannot be running OneCare, so you are off topic for this forum.

You need to update XP. Go here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windowsxp

    I'm locking this thread now.
