synctoy 2.1 (x64 / w7hp) can't write files to nas but creates all directories and a .dat file

hello!
trying to use DLINK DNS-313 (fw 1.03v2) nas for sync and backup using synctoy 2.1 (x64) on my windows 7 home premium systems. nas is mapped to driveletter (x:). it's a clean install (first time using synctoy). no trouble what so ever to copy files to the target using windows cut'n'paste or programs like total commander...
folder pair is no problem, preview looks ok, but the actual 'run' fails... all the directories are created on the target nas and a synctoy .dat file is created in the target directory but every filecopy fails with the following error
