Window XP Pro running slow after roll back from Vista

  I folks, here is a quere one for use and hope someone can help.

   

  One of ourr clients had a laptop running vista, he rolled this back to XP Pro, his emails were restored via a pst file, now office 2007 is running very slow and takes an age to open this includes all office applications

   

  I have done a full repair on the install through add remove programs, i have also ran the dianostics within office 2007 all with no joy

   

  anyone got an ideas or have come across this and got a fix?
