So I cleaned up all my music and now have an issue that each album I have shows duplicate songs. When clicking on the second song per ablum it doesnt work.
So I know the file is not on the server, but im assuming windows home server 2011 has some file that it uses or some kind of index.
Im assuming if I can find the file I can delete it and fix all my problems.
Has anyone else run into this issue?

Same here. I had soem duplicate songs, found both on the WHS hard drive and removed one. Yet the remote player still sees both files but only one actually works. It seems there is some cache somewhere that does not update, but I am guessing.
I don't understand why this is so cumbersome.

There seems like it is some kind of problem with Media indexing.
Try rebooting the server. There are some tips around here to restart Media indexing, maybe a search can dig up something useful?

Actually I have tried everything and nothing worked until I renamed the media file database.
I stopped the Windows Media Server Streaming Service and went into
C:\Users\MediaStreamingAdmin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player
and renamed the CurrentDatabase_372 to whatever. restared the service and it started to rebuild itself. All is good now.
