Trial Version

22 października 2008 12:45Hello,
our organization is currently using Windows CCS 2003 with Matlab Parallel Computing Toolbox. We're thinking about moving to HPC 2008.
The question is, if we install the trial version of 2008 and are happy with its performance how hard would it be to upgrade it to the full version? Is is plausible to assume that reentering a serial key will suffice? Or will it be necessary to configure the whole thing over again?
Thanks in advance.

The bits for both the operating system and HPC Pack are the same between eval / non-eval.With the HPC Pack using the ‘upgrade.exe’ application from the retail/vl/oem media on their headnode allows the customer to accept a non-eval license (eula) without changing the bits. With Windows Server operating systems providing a new product key activates the software without changing the bits.
