Question about certification and MSDN access

segunda-feira, 20 de outubro de 2008 21:45Just a quick question,
I'm working through my MSDN certification path and I am revising for my first exam - 70-536, and am half way.
What I was wondering was, does passing this exam give me subscription-level access to MSDN (ie Professional-level access)? I ask because a couple of sites say yes so I need clarification.
Thanks,

Exam 70-536 is base class exam passing it does not give you access to MSDN which is subscription based,it is also an exam that does not give you any title because you still need to pass the second exam to get MCTS. I have covered all you need to know about exam 70-536 in the below. Here in the US and some other countries students can get VS2008 pro free but student Live ID is required, check the second link if you qualify.

terça-feira, 21 de outubro de 2008 08:33Hi,
Yea I'm aware 70-536 doesn't really mean much and I need to several exams after (I'm going into .Net 3.5 and ASP.NET).
I do have Visual Studio 08 Pro Edition as a purchase, which I use for development (e.g. to practise concepts as I revise), but I am interested in a dev license for Sharepoint and Windows Server as these tools are used everywhere (Windows Server especially), so they are like core, transferable skills. Also, I believe the exam is over a PC using Windows Server so I need to get used to this OS. I use at work, but lack any formal training or practise, which I could do at home.
Thanks for the links :)
