Presence update from calendar

Can someone explain how OCS uses calendar data to update presence state?
We have Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003. Some users get the presence automation, some don't. I'm trying to understand how this works. We also have some OWA only users - is there any way to have OCS update presence on OWA users by calendar data?
There are a few registry keys that I'd also like to understand the proper use of:
CalendarStatePublicationInterval
MAPIPollInterval
WebServicePollIntervalI'm pretty sure the MAPIPoll controls how often MOC polls f/b on exchange, but can someone verify that?
What web service would be utilized in the webservicepollinterval setting? Is there a URL that could be used for OWA only machines?
How are the two polling intervals different than the calendarstatepublication interval?
Does OCS poll for calendar data and then hold on to it until the publication interval allows it to change state?
Does OCS change state automatically when it does a poll and determines the user is busy?
How are these supposed to be used?
Thanks!

". What (Outlook?) webservice is this?

terça-feira, 17 de junho de 2008 04:14Its exchange 2007's web services. Exchange 2003 uses Public Folders to publish free/busy information. Exchange 2007 uses Web services. The mapi poll interval is for exchange 2003 and the web poll interval is for exchange 2007.

Thanks for the above reply.
Yes, I have uncheck the checkbox in OC and check again
and also checked that my email profile is set as default in outlook.
but since my email is delivered into my local PST file directly, and outlook is under cache exchange mode.
i dont know if the OC will check the calendar in the exchange server but will NOT check the calendar in the PST file?
since i found the calendar in exchange server and pst file are different.
and if we can keep the same canlendar between exchange server and PST file?
since i dont want to keep my email and other things in server directly.
thans a lot.
