Spherical view support?

Hi. I'm wondering whether there are any plans for HDview to support cylindrical and spherical panoramas in the standard VR way, such that you can spin image around in the viewer? I have a couple of spherical and cylindrical gigapixel panoramas which I'd love to display using this tool, and though it could be done without full rotation, certainly some of the effect and appeal would be lost.

I'm not sure what you mean by "standard VR way". We unfortunately can't easily add support for directly reading QTVR files due to the TOU on Apple's SDK. We do however support full spherical or cylindrical panoramas. When zoomed in the projection is exactly the same as QTVR, only when zoomed out to we change the projection. You can also change the navigation mode from pan&drag to QTVR style panning. This is accomplised by selecting the hand icon in the top right corner.
