Locked OFFICE SP2 - live one care says I need

    Live One Care keeps telling me to download and install Office 2007 SP2 but this computer only has Office 2000 and download of 2007 SP2 works but install fails every time. How do I tell L1C I can't use (or install) 2007 SP2 so my L1C icon stays green with no reminder relating to this Office install.

        If the database reset tool does not resolve this, you can  contact OneCare support.

        You may have one or more programs on the PC that are part of Office 2007, which would then require the SP2 update, even though your main Office program is v 2000.

        You may also want to seek help for the Windows Update problem here:

          Ok, the DB reset tool didn't work so I will contact support. BUT how about My Computer and other non-HTML links on my desktop taking over a minute to open? Is there any solution for that?

            Mention this to support, too, as this would not be normal. I don't know that I'd blame it on OneCare, but anything is possible.
