Hi ,
just followed this link on timesheets and hiding planned work. http://www.projectserverhelp.com/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=8
my question is on all the screen shots it shows the administrative time and project tasks but indicators are not shown for project tasks but only for administrative tasks in green if you observe. If i got to have have the same indicators shown for project tasks is it possible or not.
Thanks - mp

Hi MP--
If you look at the server settings & see the Administartive time, you can add the category & Approval status. The Approval Status field is composed of status indicators for Administrative Time categories that have been set by the system administrator to require approval by the Timesheet Manager (for example, vacations), when planned in advance. After the user enters hours and clicks Recalculate, Save, or Save and Submit, the Approval Status changes to one of the following colors. Teh color , Green. Indicates that the Administrative Time category has been approved. By default, the approval status is initially viewed in green.
Since the Task assignments are published in team members timesheet & there is no action being taken so the approval status is blanl & it doesn't show any status color. In this case, once a Timesheet manager approves/reject the assignment actual hours, it shows the status indicators.

Hi Amit,
From your answer what i assumed is the color does show for the project tasks too (like administrative time under approval status)but only if timesheet is approved by manager. Even after approval it is not showing the color. We have automatic approval set. IS there somethign else we got to do
Thanks

Hi Mp--
I don't have the PS2007 server infornt of me as of now. To correct my answer & the explanation, Just looked in my old reference documents & found that The Approval Status field is used only for Administrative time categories such as Vacation, Sick Leave, and Administrative. You do not see an Approval Status value for project tasks. If you enter valid data in an , the Approval Status field shows a Green stoplight. If you enter invalid information, such as entering actual time on Vacation without prior approval for the Vacation time, the Approval Status field shows a Yellow stoplight. If a Timesheet Manager rejects timesheet information for Administrative time, the Approval Status field shows a Red .
Hope this helps.
