- Hi Everyone,
First let me apologise if this is in the wrong section was unsure where to ask this question.
My current setup is a WHS (with all my media stored on it) I have a HDTV with a PS3 connected to it in the living room, which with PS3 media server, I can watch/listen streamed media, I also have a 32" Standard CRT (Standard Scart,Svideo and RF connections) in my bedroom and a 1st Gen standard Xbox (soft modded). I also have 2 Laptops Acer 6920G (Vista Home Premium) Both have HDMI out and VGA out.
My question is how or is it possible to watch streamed media on this CRT in my bedroom, pref wirelessly (Due to the wife not wanting cables eveywhere), I would like this to be a permanent placement (ie I dont want to be moving anything) and obviously be remote controlled, does anyone know a way of doing this with the Xbox 1st generation or would I have to buy something else, If so could you give me some ideas on the kit I need to buy.
I am in the UK so pref items that are available in the UK.

- in order to use your original xbox wirelessly you would need one of these:

as for streaming I dont know if it will work or not, It should though
HMG - I use homeplugs, ethernet over mains. Give a stable connection and streams HD perfectly. Example here
- Thank you for the answers so far, I have seen the homeplugs, I am interested in them, Also if I leave the Xbox out of the equation is there some other device that can recieve the stream and then reproduce it on my tv? But not PS3 or Xbox 360 (I would not use these in the bedroom) Is it called a windows media connector ? If so any ideas where to get from in the UK ?
- your best bet would be the home plugs if you have XBMC on your xbox, otherwise your looking at paying more. other than the 360 and PS3 you other option would be a pc or media streamer like these:

HMG googlw for 'nmt' or network media tank. One manufacturer is here Popcornhour The beauty of these beasties is they can process nearly all video formats. A lot of media streamers like dlink,zyxell and the westerndigital box only support the common formats like avi,mpg and wmv
