Answered Drive Free Space?

    I have two Maxtor 160GB IDE drives in my WHS box. In the home server console it shows that I have 305GB Total Space and 219GB Free Space but I have mapped my drives in Vista Ultimate and it shows that I have 142GB Total and 79GB Free. It looks as though Vista is only reporting the space from one drive. Is this normal will the space expand when I need it to?

    This is a known bug in WHS Beta 2.  It will continue to allow you to copy data there so long as your primary disk doesn't run out of space.  There are many threads on this one though in both the forums and on Connect.

    Go to that link, and do a find on the phrase:

    'The primary reason has to do with a limitation in Drive Extender in beta 2.' -minus the quotes.
