I cannot seem to get past the login screen when trying to login to http://server, instead I get this message:

To protect the security of your home network, this administration account is not allowed to log in remotely. To perform administration tasks, first log in with your home network user account. Then, you may connect to the Home Server Admin Console by selecting your server from the Computers tab.

Has anyone seen this issue and know how to resolve it?

From the WHS Console, create a regular account (one that exists on one of your workstations that will be connecting to WHS).  Try logging in to http://server with that regular account - you should be able to get in.  It looks like you are trying to log in with the WHS administrator account and apparently that's a no-no.

    HI,

You need to use your "user" account logon. If you try to use the "administrator" account (for the server), you will receive this error. After you logon with your user account, you will be able to logon to the server from the Computers tab with your administrator account credentials. Hope this helps

I saw this also and I had to put the https://servername in the trusted sites in IE.

If you have "gone under the covers" and manage users and added that user name to the administrator group you will get that error.

That may be it.  I just logged in using my wife's login id and it worked.  When I get home tonight I will remove my account from the Admin group and try again.  Thanks.

And how did I know this? LOL  Cause I did the same thing.  Why wait to get home <grin>  You have port 3389 forwarded to the WHS correct?

Actually no.  I found that I am unable to get connected to the Remote Desktop due to a configuration at my work sites firewall.  However, we do have a guest wifi access and I am able to get to them that way.  So far I love this product.
