WHS 2011 see's my hard drive, but won't let me install.

  I first tried this on my old 939 motherboiard and it showed my drives just fine, but it wsouldn't let me select them.  I searched for drivers to load and new drivers aren't available.

  I then try on my EVGA X58 motherboard and same thing.  My drive shows up, but can't select it.  I think maybe it's the AHCI drivers (which should be included) so I set to IDE mode and same thing.  Drive shows up, but I can't select it for install.

  I have a 250GB hard drive (160GB was listed as minimum)

  what needs to be done to install this OS?

  ps. this sure seems overly complicated.  Win7, Ubuntu, Vista, Pinguy OS, and Mac OS all install just fine!!!

  
  What type of drive is it?  Is it the only drive you have connected?

  It is a Seagate 250GB SATA II drive.  I finally got it working after reading more on the issue and it turns out I had to remove all ide/sata devices except install drive and put WHS11 on a USB Flash Drive.  Then it installed fine.

   

  Sure wish MS could have made that clear.  but then again, there were no instructions at all.
