Previewing workflows (on demand)

  Can anyone tell me if there is a way to preview a live email before it is scheduled to go to the customer?  I just loaded a new email template and I would like have CRM send the actual email to me as a test prior to it going to my customers.  So far, I am being told that CRM does not have this capability.
