Locked UK Invitations?

    Hi,

    I am very interested in Live Mesh for my phone, but there appears to be an ongoing issue with getting an invitation.  The only links I can find are over 6 months old and all result in 'no invitations at present' type errors.

    Are there still invitation opportunities for the mobile client in the UK or am I wasting my time trying to sign up?

      Wow i'm surprised the old UK links are still listed somewhere.  If you could help me out by linking where they are I'd appreciate it!  You should be able to use the default link here in the forums to enable your Mesh account for Mobile use. 

      If you do that and it doesn't work, please let me know so I can start working with the server team for that area to resolve it.

        The threat at http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/LiveMeshMobile/thread/a91de1bf-d9b5-4c14-bb13-7d22e6795a92/ has a link to http://blogs.msdn.com/livemesh/archive/2008/10/30/update-on-installation-of-live-mesh-for-mobile-fixed.aspx that in turn links to https://www.mesh.com/Web/Promo.aspx?pcode=Mob_FCFS12.  But this just redirects to an error screen saying no invites are available, please check back.

        I hope this helps, and ideally leads me to a working code so I can get my mobile synced up ;-)

          Interesting path, but the end result is the correct link for the invite. From the announcements above:

          If you have a mobile phone with Windows Mobile 6.0 or higher, you can add these devices to your mesh.  Live Mesh for Mobile access requires the following invitation code: https://www.mesh.com/Web/Promo.aspx?pcode=Mob_FCFS1.

          1.  Click the invitation code link above
          2.  Sign-in with your Windows Live ID
          3.  Go to www.mesh.com
          4.  In your device ring, select Add Device
          5.  Under the install button, select "Use Live Mesh for mobile devices"
          6.  A new window with the rest of the procedure will pop-up, follow the instructions.

          If you are unable to sign in and use that link with you LiveID set with a location of UK, try changing your LiveID location to US at http://account.live.com temporarily.
