Wierd keyboard error!

I came home from work today & started typing a email.
every time I hit the "d" key on my keyboard my PC beeps & it types this: asdfjkl;\213
I have to copy & paste the leter d just to send this message..
What the heck is going on?

Is this laptop or desktop
cause laptops have special key that if you hit it you change settings
