forced updating

  I have been using messenger for years, I communicate with Australia and the UK.  Microsoft makes changes to the software and i follow them.  recently there was an update which I downloaded and installed but it fouled my connection to Outlook Express, and i have had that for longer than my Messager.  I then did a restore and got it all back and was fine . However Messenger now will not give me acess to messager  unless I accept the update.  No one but I know our difficulty in getting outlook express, and we had to have Hot mail as well to get access to messager.

  Microsoft ought to know that there is a reason for not uising the update and start looking to improve it, to accomodate problems, the cut off includes communicating with messager.  i am having to search around and at last am able to make my complaint.  It seems Micosoft is never caring and if I can I'll try to avoid their products in the future.
